TIP OF THE MONTH Just the right prescription for writing new business
We all know your agency is not a doctor's office. But we can still learn a few things from the way a doctor's office handles their patients..
Although we certainly recommend getting out of the business of taking direct bill payments in the agency, you still may have walk-in customers. Here is a great tip that can build stronger relationships with your clients, and write new business for the agency.
While the person waits for their CSR, or whoever will be taking care of them, ask them to complete a Customer Survey Form. For an example of a form, click here.
The purpose of the form is to find out where they currently have
their insurance, what gaps they may have and how your agency can
increase their protection. Even if the CSR is available when
the customer comes in, and even if the customer has already completed
the form, have them take the time to fill it out again. Then
make sure that the individual responsible for that account reviews
the form ,and follows up with a conversation to let the customer
know how your agency can insure their financial security.
